EDWIN A. LANGFELDT (1909 - 1996)

Edwin A. Langfeldt, 87, Neillsville, Clark County, died Thursday, May 16, 1996, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen. Private graveside services were held at the Greenwood City Cemetery.

Edwina A. Langfeldt was born on March 12, 1909, in Scott County, Buffalo, Iowa, to John H. and Mrie (nee Gelhaar) Langfeldt. He married Adela Pachal in 1930. They farmed in the town of Longwood until 1950. He then was employed in Milwaukee for two years. On Aug. 14, 1952, he married Jennie Suda in Racine. He was associated with Johnson Hendrickson Construction firm in Racine from 1952 until his retirement in 1973. In May of 1973, they moved to Neillsville and purchased a home located on the Black River.

Survivors include his wife, Jennie children, Vivian (Thodore) Briski, Greenwood Adelbert Guy (Mary) Langfeldt, Marshfield Rosalee (Milton) Hall, Racine June (James) Pollard, Hobbs, N.M. Gertrude Trudy Taves, Marshfield a daughter-in-law, Kay Langfeldt, McAllen, Texas two sisters, Elsie Cain, Loyal and Janice (Kenneth) Vollarth, Marshfield a sister-in-law, Bernadine Langfeldt, Spokane, Wash. 23 grandchildren 36 great-grandchildren two great-great-grandchildren many nieces, nephews and relatives step-children, Frances Gosse, Thorp Jane (Arthur) Petersen, Withee Lucille (Cal) Stokes, Deer Lodge, Mont. Dr. William (Marilyn) Suda, Hamilton, Mont. 18 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents step-mother, Louise Lanfeldt two daughters, Donna Mae and Joyce Langfeldt and one son, Wildred Langfeldt.
