FUNERAL SERVICES HELD MONDAY FOR LAURA G. HATTON


Laura G. Hatton, 80, a resident of the Clark County, Town of Eaton, Route 1, Greenwood, passed away Friday, July 9, 1976, at the Neillsville Memorial Home.


Funeral services were held Monday, July 12, at Zion United Church of Christ, Greenwood, with David Logue officiating.


Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery, with Rinka Funeral Home in charge.


Laura Wendt was born to Fred and Mary Wendt in Monroe County on May 16, 1896. She received her education in the Neillsville Schools and graduated from Stout College. She taught school in Clark County for 38 years and had worked under the Green Light Program for six years.


Her marriage to Evan Hatton took place in Winona, Minn., on April 21, 1927. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Ladies Aid of Zion United Methodist Church.


Her husband preceded her in death, as did her parents, three brother and four sisters.


Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Wilbur (Better) Lenz, Route 1, Greenwood three grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Anna Neville, Neillsville.


Pallbearers were Harvey Bauer, Art Bushman, David Bauer, Richard Rohde, Richard Rondorf and Art Steffen.


Mrs. Gary Schultz was the organist and Mr. Gary Schultz was the soloist.
