Mary Langreck services to be held on Friday at St. Mary's
Mary A. Langreck, a longtime Town of Grant
farmwife, died in Neillsville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday morning,
August 23.
Mrs. Langreck, 93, last made her home at 210 east Division St.,
Neillsville.
Funeral services were to be held on Friday morning, August 26, from
St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville with the Rev. Joseph
Henseler officiating. Burial is to be made in the parish cemetery.
Visitation is set for this evening (Thursday, August 25) from 4:00
to 9:00 and again on Friday morning until 10:00 at the Gesche
Funeral Home. (The general rosary is secheduled for 7:30 and the
knights of Columbus rosary for 8:30 on Thursday evening.)
The deceased was born on July 2, 1890, in Neillsville to Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Mueller. She attended St. Mary's School and then worked
in Milwaukee for several years. On November 28, 1916, she married
Henry Langreck in Neillsville ceremonies. They then farmed in the
Town of Grant, retiring in 1960 and moving into Neillsville.
Surviving her are three sons, Harold and Robert, both of
Neillsville, and Herbert of Alamogordo, New Mexico and four
daughters, Mrs. John (Marie) Resong and Mrs. Robert (Dorothy)
Opelt, both of Neillsville, and Sisters Niva (Florence) Langreck
and Lillia (Catherine) Langreck, both of Milwaukee. Joining them
are 30 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and one great great
grandson.
Mrs. Langreck was preceded in death by her husband (May 14,1965),
three brothers and a sister.
She was a member of St. Mary's parish and it's Parish Counsel of
Catholic Women.
