Lorraine M. Lien, 60, Chippewa Falls, Town of Hallie, died Tuesday, July 20, 1999, at her home after a lengthy illness with cancer.

She was born November 25, 1938, in Thorp to Catherine (Mertens) and John Hazuga. She graduated from Thorp High School in 1958 and was employed at Midelfort Clinic in Eau Claire.

Lorraine married Charles W. Lien on November 13, 1962 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thorp. They have lived in the Town of Hallie since their marriage. She was a member of St. Olaf's Catholic Church, Eau Claire.

Survivors include her husband two daughters: Karen Lien of Rochester, MN, Susan (Dan) Lawler of Rice Lake three sons: Carl Lien of Stanley, Daniel (Kellie) Lien of Savage, MN, Richard (Gina) Lien of Chippewa Falls one sister, Marlene (Ivan) Muetzel of Cottage Grove, MN two brothers: John (Pat) Hazuga of Stanley, Jerome (Elaine) Hazuga of Thorp four grandchildren: Rae Leonard, Vincent Lien, Brian Lien, and Danielle Lawler.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Kathleen Risinger.

A funeral service was held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 22, 1999 at St. Olaf's Catholic Church. Burial was in Prairie View Cemetery, Town of Hallie. A Christian Vigil Service was held Wednesday, 6:00 p.m. at Pederson-Voelker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls.
