Lund-Schilling, Alta (1913 - 1999)
Alta B. Lund-Schilling, 86, of Whittier, California, died Friday, September 17, 1999, at the Hospice Unit of Wausau Hospital, Wausau, WI.
Alta Hull was born to Wallace and Orpha Hull on July 9, 1913, in
Owen, WI. She attended school in Owen, graduating from high school
in 1931. Later Alta married George C. Lund on March 23, 1938. He
died on May 27, 1962. She then married LeRoy Schilling on April 29,
1967. He died on November 21, 1972. Alta was employed in the
dietary department of Luther Hospital for 18 years. The last 23
years she lived in Whittier, CA where she was active in bible
studies and traveled, including a trip to the Holy Land. She was a
thoughtful and caring person who will be greatly missed by her
family and friends.
Alta is survived by her children: Donald (Claudette) Lund of
Weston, WI, Janice (William) Becker of Eau Claire, Sara (Ronald)
Poole of Whittier, CA four brothers, Edward (Marian) Hull of Thorp,
Robert (Nina) Hull of Withee, David (Eleanor) Hull of Eau Claire,
Bruce (Nancy) Hull of Clarkson, KY ten grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.
Alta was preceded in death by her parents brother Frank and sister
Orpha.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 23,
1999, at Wesleyan Church in Eau Claire, with Pastor Dan Bickel
officiating. Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Family and friends called from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Wednesday at
Fuller-Speckien Funeral Home and an hour before services Thursday
at the Church.
