SOPHIA LOPPNOW RITES HELD


Miss Sophia Emelia Loppnow, 80, of 310, Division, Loyal, Clark County, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 1976, at 7:30 a.m., at Neillsville Memorial Home.


Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, July 27, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. Rev. William Humlie officiated, and Mrs. John Olson was the organist. Burial was made in the Lutheran Cemetery in Loyal.


Sophia Loppnow was born on Feb. 22, 1896, in the Town of Loyal. She received her education at the Prosperity School in the Town of Eaton. She lived with her parents on their farm until moving to Loyal in 1958, where she lived with her sister. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid.


She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Arthur (Ida) Lautenbach, Loyal.


Pallbearers were Ulysses Cain, Verland Dux, Ervin Dux, Ervin Schmidt, Charles Butterbrodt and Leonard Denk. Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Two sisters and her parents, John and Anna Hoist, preceded her in death.
