EDWARD MANES (1803 - 1885)
Edward MANES of Clark Co., Wis., died May 22,
1885 of apoplexy. He was born in Armage, Ireland and emigrated at
the age of 12 to Quebec, Canada. In 1823 he married Jane HODGSON.
They had six children and Edward, John, Maria, Anna Jane still
survive. When Jane died in 1837, he married Mary CALLS with whom he
had eight children. Their daughter, Mary, died at the age of one
year. Those still living are: Dudley, Wm. Jane, Maggie, Joseph,
Robert and Sarah.
