Manglos, Helen (1916 - 1999)
Helen W. Manglos, 83, of Jump River, WI passed away Thursday, March 18, 1999 at Rusk County Memorial Hosptial, Ladysmith, WI.
Helen was born January 1, 1916 in Rusk County, near Conrath, WI to
Vincent and Veronica (Goluska) Wass. She graduated from Washburn
High School and the Minnesota School of Business both in
Minneapolis, MN. She worked throughout the United States including
the Surf Club in Miami Beach, FL in New York Washington, DC for
Admiral Paul F. Foster Duall Trade School, Des Plaines, IL Evans
Furs, Chicago, IL. She married Edward H. Manglos on August 30, 1952
in Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Ladysmith, WI. They lived
and farmed together in the Jump River area. Helen was active in the
community. She was a member of the Taylor and Rusk County
Homemakers was instrumental in organizing classes for CPR training
and Driver's Safety Courses helped establish the Jump River Fire
Department member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW 2977 and served as a
lay member of the Marshfield Medical Research Foundation.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Monica (Daniel) Paweldo,
Marshfield grandchildren: Ed, Theresa and Amy sister, Victoria
Griegoleit, Oak Lawn, IL as well as many nieces and nephews and
other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by
her husband Edward H. her parents 2 brothers and 6 sisters.
A memorial service will be held for Helen at 10:30 a.m., Saturday,
March 27, 1999 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Jump River with
Father Philip Jusa officiating. Interment at Mt. Nebo Cemetery,
Jump River. The Cremation Society of Wisconsin is serving the
family.
