DEATH OF MRS. CHARLOTTE MARDEN
Mrs. Charlotte Marden died suddenly at her
home on the north side last Monday morning. She was born at LaRue,
Marion County, Ohio, on Sept. 8, 1846 and was united in marriage to
W. H. Marden in Richland County on Oct. 18, 1866. Forty years ago
Mr. and Mrs. Marden came to Clark County and they remained honored
and respected citizens until their death. Mr. Marden died four
years ago. His wife was a woman of many excellent qualities and she
leaves a large circle of friends, who sincerely mourn her death.
She was the mother of ten children, two of who are dead. The
surviving children are Mrs. Mary Wood and Goerge and Leslie Marden
of this city Wm. Marden of Greenwood Ira Marden of Bainsville,
Mont., J. E. and Steve of Centralia, Wash. Mrs. S. V. Andrews of
Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She is survived by three sisters and one
brother Mrs. Mary Dietzman and Mrs. Wesley Roberts of La Valle and
Mrs. Nancy Lane of Plattville and W. J. Williams of Lime Ridge.
Also she is survived by 11 grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren. (Neillsville Times)
