GERALD BRASIER DIES FOLLOWING SHORT ILLNESS
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, 1976, at
Rinka Funeral Home for Gerald Brasier, age 73, of 501 Beaver St.,
Loyal, Clark County, who died at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, 1976, at
the Neillsville Hospital. Rev. Eugene Carlson officiated and burial
was in the Loyal Cemetery.
Mr. Brasier was born on Sept 10, 1902 at Tomahawk. He attended
public schools in Loyal, graduating in 1921, and he also attended
the University of Oregon for one years. He was married to Eva
Mattord in Rhinelander on Jan. 13, 1925. He worked for Lang and
Sherman Co. in Marshfield for about six years and also did seasonal
work for the Loyal Canning Co. The couple celebrated their golden
wedding anniversary in 1975.
Rinka Funeral Home was in charge and an 8 p.m. Prayer service was
held on Sunday evening.
Surviving besides his wife Eva, are two daughters, Mrs. Mervin
(Ardyth) Rossow, Junction City, Oregon, and Mrs. Jerome (Shirley)
Brecht, DePere, Wis. and one son, Darwin, Loyal one brother,
Burrel, Cheshire, Oregon, and one sister, Mrs. Walter (Thelma)
Tremblery, Albany, Oregon. He also is survived by 14 grandchildren
and one great-granddaughter. One son and his parents preceded him
in death.
Pallbearers for Mr. Brasier were William Brasier, Brian Brasier,
Jerome Brecht, Wayne Harter, Milton Fitzl and Peter Brecht.
