HOME GLEANINGS.
For the second time in less than a year death has called at the
Meizer home, the second time Saturday when Frank followed his
sister Mae into the Great Beyond. Consumption and heart trouble was
the cause. The funeral was held from the Catholic church at ten
o'clock Tuesday forenoon in charge of Rev. G. Burkard, the
pastor.
We hope to be able to give further particulars next week.

DEATH'S DOINGS.
It was almost exactly seven months after the death of his sister
Mae that Frank Meizer, whose death was mentioned last week,
occurred. Within a couple of months after her decease he was
obliged to give up his work in the round house and from that time
to his death gradually grew worse, though he himself kept up hope
to the last that he would soon be well again.
Frank was born to Herman and Catherine Meizer at Wrightstown, Aug.
6, 1877, being the oldest of the family. Receiving a common school
education he had since worked at various kinds of work, the last
few years being employed as watchman at the round house. He had a
chance to go on the road firing, but being a home boy could not
bear the thought of being away from his mother and family and kept
to his post at home until obliged to give up with failing health
last December 23rd.
Frank's death is a hard blow to the mother and seems particularly
sad as he was the main support of the family, which is now left
without a wage earner and with only the little home they occupy. He
leaves besides the mother and father who are divorced, one sister,
Pearl, and two brothers, Earl and Floyd, who are in school.
Relatives from away who were present at the funeral were Mr. and
Mrs. Jos. Sawyer of Stratsford and John Fransway of Appleton.
