HAROLD MURPHY (1925 - 1993)
Harold F. Murphy, 67, Black River Falls, died
Wednesday, March 10, 1993, at Black River Falls Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 1993, at
Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., Neillsville. Rev. Ron Garner officiated.
Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery, Neillsville. Nephews
served as pallbearers.
Harold F. Murphy was born May 2, 1925, in the town of Weston, Clark
County, to Frank and Lucille (nee Macknick) Murphy. He received his
education in the town of Weston and Neillsville High School. After
school, he began driving truck and continued to do so until his
retirement in 1987. He retired from Jatco of Janesville after 30
years. He married Jeanette M. Busch May 2, 1986, in Waukegan, Ill.
She survives. He was a member of St. John's United Church of
Christ, Humbird.
Survivors include his wife of Black River Falls one son, Richard
Murphy, St. Peter, Minn. three daughters, Karen Cook, Springfield,
Virginia Lynn Paca, Las Cruces, New Mexico and Mary Murphy,
Barstow, Cal. four step-children, Steven Okonski, Owen Sandra
Okonski, Waukegan, Ill. Sue Okonski, Fairfield, Cal. and Sharon
McKee, Waukgan, Ill. three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Johnson,
Greenwood Mrs. John (Frances) Ormond Jr., Neillsville and Mrs.
James (Marjorie) Kurasz, Dubois, Wyoming one brother, Bernard
Murphy, Greenwood five grandchildren four step-grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother,
Arthur.
Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., handled the arrangements.
