Howard Neuenfeldt (1930 - 1999)
Howard William Neuenfeldt, 69, of Dorchester,
died Wednesday, July 14, in the emergency room at St. Joseph's
Hospital in Marshfield. Funeral services were held Monday, July 19,
at Maurina Funeral Home in Dorchester with Rev. James Snyder
officiating.
Burial was held in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery South. Pallbearers
were Shawn, Todd, Wyatt, and Galen Neuenfeldt, Roger Venet, and
Edwin Marzinski. Honorary pallbearers were Robin Neuenfeldt,
Wilfred Heindl, Ronald Zoellick, Peter Lapp, Robert Evers, Jerry
Wiltgen, and Bruce Jensen.
Howard W. Neuenfeldt was born April 28, 1930, in the Town of
Greenwood to William and Frieda (Klein) Neuenfeldt. He attended
Brady School. As a young man, he worked with his father in the
logging camps and the grain fields of Nebraska and the Dakotas.
His marriage to Wilma Hoffmann took place on September 25, 1953. He
held various jobs until they began farming in 1957 and continued to
farm for 26 years. In 1985, they operated Wilma's Four Corners
Tavern in the Town of Mayville, Clark County. He also worked with
the recycling in the Town of Mayville and made U-shaped
clotheslines. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, horseshoes, and the
outdoors. He was also a handyman who could fix many things.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma two sons, Robin (fiancee Jolene
Adam) of Dorchester and Wyatt (fiancee Tina Park) Neuenfeldt of
Curtiss a daughter, April (Roger) Venet of Owen four sisters,
Elvera Molzner and Verna Schmidt, both of Stetsonville, Violet
(Raymond) Wagner of Owen, and Dorothy Stephens of Marshfield two
brothers, Larry and Leroy (Hazel Schilling) Neuenfeldt, both of
Dorchester four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents two brothers, Raymond and
Lester an infant daughter, Carmel and a daughter-in-law, Tami
Neuenfeldt.
