OTTO VOIE DIES AT HIS HOME IN GREENWOOD
Otto Voie, age 86, died at his home at 107 S. Crocker, Greenwood,
Clark County, on Monday, Sept. 13. Funeral services will be held at
1:30 p.m. Thursday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Greenwood,
with the Rev. David E. Wenger officiating. Burial will be made in
the Greenwood Cemetery.
Rinka Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Voie was born Feb. 21, 1890 in Scandinavia, Wis. He received
his education in the Scandinavian schools. He married the former
Glenora Syverston in Iola, Wis. on Oct. 22, 1914. The first two
years of his marriage he spent at Barron, Wis. He farmed in
Greenwood from 1930 until 1940, when he moved to the City of
Greenwood. During those years he was engaged in cattle dehorning.
He celebrated his Golden Wedding anniversary in 1964 and his 60th
in 1974.
He was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and was a past
member of the Church board.
Surviving are his wife, Glenora, one son, Emory, Fond du Lac three
daughters, Mrs. Harold (June) Dunn, Eau Claire Mrs. Godfrey (Olive)
Dyre, Greenwood and Mrs. Charles (Vivian) Stuber, Mondovi two
sisters, Mrs. Leon (Lizzie) Turner, Clintonville Mrs. Selma Buck,
Kennedy, Minn. 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Four
sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
Pallbearers were Duane Walker, Joe La Monica, Edmund Wigert, Larry
Stuber, Arlend Stuber and Wayne Stuber.
