Noonan, David (1924 - 1999)
David Cornelius Noonan, 75, Gilman, WI died Sunday, January 24, 1999 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, WI.
David was born Janury 24, 1924, to Joseph and Cecelia (Fitzpatrick)
Noonan. He grew up in the Gilman area and attended the area
schools. He served in the US Navy during World War II. Dave married
Elaine Ellen Paul on November 9, 1946 at Chicago, IL. They moved to
the Gilman area where they farmed for 20 years. They moved into
Gilman and Dave was a real estate broker in the Gilman area. Dave
was a member of SS. Peter Paul Parish, Knights of Columbus, Gilman
Lions Club, Gilman American Legion and Gilman Senior Citizen's.
Surviving are his wife Elaine Ellen Noonan three sons: David Jr. of
Gilman, WI, James (Colleen) of Centuria, WI, Richard (Mary) of
Thorp, WI one daughter, Sandra, Mrs. Wayne Smith of White Stone, VA
8 Grandchildren four sisters: Irene Johnson of Paris, IL, Kay
Gunsteen of Bull Shoals, AK, Rose (Russ) Engle of Medford, WI, and
Louis (Les) Jankowski of Seattle, WA. Dave is preceded in death by
his parents 1 brother Thomas and 1 sister Lucille.
Funeral service was held at SS Peter Paul Catholic Church, Gilman,
Wednesday, January 27, 1999, 10:30 a.m. with Father James Bartelme
officiating. Burial was in Meadowbrook Cemetery, Gilman. Visitation
wass from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gilman Funeral
Home.
