Olsen, Ivan (1926 - 1999)
Ivan C. Olsen, 72, Thorp resident, died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, WI, January 21, 1999 of pneumonia.
The deceased was born in Green Bay, WI, June 16, 1926 to Haldar and
Minnie (nee Schneider) Olsen. He was a veteran of 21 years in the
U.S. Army Counter Intelligence Corps, having served primarily in
Germany, Vietnam and the United States, was an active member of the
Cecil Tormey Post 118 of the American Legion in Thorp and a member
of Army Counter Intelligence Corps Veterans Inc., a national unit
of C.I.C. Veterans.
The body was cremated and will be interred at Riverside Cemetery,
Withee at a later announced date.
He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his
wife, the former Louise Broeren one son, Kurt and two brothers:
Ardal (Marilyn) Olsen of Temple, Texas and Ronald (Donna) Olsen of
Green Bay, WI Ardis Rubisch, sister-in-law of Thorp and various
nieces and nephews.
