FUNERAL RITES HELD AT TRINITY, SPENCER FOR GLEN ROSE
Glen A. Rose, 67, Spencer, collapsed and died at Friday night's
Spencer-Abbotsford football game at Abbotsford. Funeral services
for Mr. Rose were held Tuesday, Sept 28 at 2 p.m. at Trinity
Lutheran Church in Spencer. The Rev. William H. Ruhbusch officiated
and burial was made in the West Spencer Cemetery. The Rux Funeral
Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Laverne Weber, Gerald Schwantes, Warren
Sternitzky, Jim May, Harlan Rose, and Merle Rose. The organist,
Mrs. Arnold Stelzl, accompanied a trio of Mrs. Roger Morrow, Mrs.
Ernst Krause and Mrs. William Ruhbusch at the funeral service.
Glen Rose was born Sept. 24, 1909 in the Town of Grant in Clark
County. He was married on Oct. 28, 1930, at Bakerville to Dorothy
Weiland, who survives. He was employed as a construction worker and
after his retirement he did sign painting, lettering, and
artwork.
He and his wife had lived in Spencer for the past 14 years.
Mr. Rose was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer.
Surviving him are four sons, Erlin Rose, Unity Duane Rose, Route 3,
Marshfield Donald Rose, Spencer and Robert Rose, at home three
daughters, Mrs. Roger (Mary Anna) Bymers, Spencer Mrs. Joe (Betty
Lou) Pernsteiner III, Granton and Mrs. John (Janet) Schiferl,
Bellevue, Wash. a brother, Grant Rose of Granton, a sister, Miss
Iva Rose, Lake Geneva and 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by two sisters and one brother.
