GREENWOOD RESIDENT, THOMAS ERICKSON, 87, SUCCUMBS
Thomas Erickson, 87, Black River View Apartments, Greenwood, Clark
County, died at 8 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, 1976 at the Neillsville
Hospital. Funeral services were held at Adams Lutheran Church at
Blanchardville on Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m. and burial was made
in the Adams Cemetery. The Rev. David Wenger officiated at the
services.
Mr. Erickson was born May 30, 1889, in Norway. He came to this
country with his parents in 1893, and lived on a farm near
Blanchardville from 1916 1918. He then moved to Clark county and
settled on a farm near Loyal. He moved to Greenwood in 1934.
He married the former Clara Gilbertson on Feb. 23, 1916 at
Blanchardville Lutheran Church, Blanchardville. They celebrated
their 60th wedding anniversary in 1976. Mrs. Erickson died May 24,
1976.
Mr. Erickson was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church,
Greenwood.
He is survived by one son, Burnell, Pardeville, Wis. and one
sister, Mrs. Bertha Rear, Milwaukee and 20 grandchildren. Four
children, two brothers, and two sisters, preceded him in
death.
