DAVID PEROSHEK  (1941 - 2001)

David Frank Peroshek, 60, died on Monday March 12, 2001, at the Tomah Veterans Affairs Medical Centery, Tomah. Memorial services will be held at a later date at the Tomah Veterans Affairs Chapel, Tomah Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Burial will be in the Immanuel Cemetery East, Greenwood.

David Frank Peroshek was born on June 11, 1941, to Frank and Arlene (nee Meinholdt) Peroshek, in Greenwood, Clark County. He was a 1959 graduate of Greenwood High School. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany, from 1959 to 1962. He was employed by Milwaukee Manufacturing, Milwaukee, and was a member of the National Shopman Association until he was a victim of a fire accident on Feb. 12, 1986. As a result of the accident, he resided in the Zablocki Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Miwaukee, until 1996, when he was moved to the Tomah Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Tomah. He was also a member of the Greenwood American Legion Post 238.

Survivors Include two sisters, Rebecca Parker, Macomb, Ill., and Polly Peroshek, Woodstock, Ill. one brother, Tony Peroshek, Greenwood his stepmother, Elaine Peroshek, Greenwood one stepsister, Linda Anderson, Eau Claire and one stepbrother, Terry Emberson, Loganville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Peroschek, David F. (Pfc)

Pfc. David Peroshek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Peroshek, Greenwood, recently qualified as an expert in firing the carbine while serving with the 663rd Ordnance Company in Germany.

Peroshek, a clerk in the company in Vilseck, entered the Army last January and completed basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.

The 19-year-old soldier is a 1959 graduate of the Greenwood High School.
