MABEL J. PETERSON (1908 - 2000)

Mabel J. "Mibs" PETERSON, 91, of 13691 Cty. Hwy. D., Boyd, died Sunday, March 5, 2000, at the Cornell Area Care Center, Cornell, WI.

She was born on August 8, 1908, the daughter of John O. and Martha (HELGERSON) JOHNSON in the Town of Colburn.

Mabel married Richard PETERSON and following the marriage they lived and farmed in the Town of Arthur. Mabel was a lifetime member of the Big Drywood Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one son, Burt (Renee) PETERSON of Eau Claire granddaughters, Kayla and Aleisha and Liza Barth, all of Eau Claire. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, in 1958 son, Gary, in 1978 three brothers, Oscar, Alfred, and Martin JOHNSON and two sisters, Mary and Anna.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 9, at the Big Drywood Lutheran Church with the Rev. Todd Iverson officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott one hour before services Thursday at the church.
