JAMES MCCONNELL
James McConnell, 80, Greenwood, Clark County,
died Sunday, Aug. 30, 1992, at his home. Funeral services were to
be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1992, at St. Mary's Catholic
Church, Greenwood. Rev. Steven Baures officiated and burial was in
St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons Mark Mayenschein,
Paul Mayenschein, Mike Worth, Dan Worth, Brad Worth, and Scott
McConnell.
James McConnell was born Aug. 4, 1912, in Sydney, Montana, to James
Sr. and Ann (nee Feder) McConnell. He received his education at
Eaton Center Elementary School and graduated from Greenwood High
School in 1930. He married Lucille Prock Nov. 7, 1936, in
Greenwood. She survives. He worked at Grassland Dairy Products as a
milk tester and in public relations until retiring in 1982. He was
named Clark County Tree Farmer of the Year in 1990 and 1991. He was
a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife two daughters, Mrs. Leland (Sharon)
Mayenschein, Greenfield and Mrs. Patrick (Kathleen) Worth,
Cedarburg two sons, Terrance McConnell, Blair and Patrick
McConnell, Neillsville 12 grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister,
Gertrude.
Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
