Piwoni, Florence (1917 - 1999)

Florence Piwoni, 81, Thorp, WI died Monday, january 18, 1999 at her home.

Florence was born May 4, 1917 to George and Anna (Hoffman) Zukowski. She was married to Joe Piwoni. Florence lived in the Thorp area all of her life and farmed with her husband in the Town of Reseburg and Worden until 1971 when she became a resident of Thorp. She was a member of St. Bernard's-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church.

Surviving are three daughters: Elaine Boeck of Woodland Park, CO, Eleanore Piwoni of Dallas, TX and Jo Ann Piwoni of Thorp. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband August 19, 1995, 1 infant son, 1 infant sister and 5 brothers: Wm, Julius, Jacob and Felix.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 21, 1998 at St. Bernard's-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, Thorp with Rev. John Puerner officiating. Burial will be in old St. Hedwig's Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 hours before the service at Thorp Funeral Home.
