Mary A. Reinertson, 91, Owen, died on Monday, December 6, 1999 at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen.


Funeral services for Mary were held on Wednesday, December 8, 1999, 11:00 a.m. at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee, with Reverend Paul Petersen officiating. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery, Withee. Visitation was on Wednesday, at the Nazareth Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:30 a.m. Maurina Funeral Home, Owen assisted the family with arrangements.


The former Mary Nevala was born on June 29, 1908, in Wakefield, Michigan, the daughter of Edwin and Emily (Maki) Nevala. The family farmed in the Town of Longwood. Her first marriage was to Arthur Vetterkind. He died December 17, 1961. She later married Earl Reinertson and he died April 9, 1965. Mary had been employed with Master Package of Owen for 36 years. She was a long time member of Nazareth Lutheran Church and the Masonic Order of Eastern Star.


Surivivors include her daughter Dolores Ronzani of Highland Park, IL brother Arthur (Irene) Nevala of Greendale 4 grandchildren: Mary Ann Zudonyi, Richard Rozani, Marcia Vicchione and Linda Fiorentino and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents husbands 2 daughters: Elaine Zudonyi and Marian Johnson 3 sisters: Signa Lithen, Aili Kartinen and Martha Patten 3 brothers: Toivo Nevala, Ray Nevala and Larry Nevala.
