PATRICIA ANN RIMES (1929 - 2000)
Patricia Ann RIMES, 70, died on Saturday, March 18, 2000, at Freder
Lutheran Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee.
She as born in Stanley on October 21, 1929, the daughter of Selmer
and Gene (HAUGEN) SAMUELSON. She grew up in Stanley, attending area
schools and graduating from Stanley High School. She then moved to
Milwaukee where she worked as a legal secretary.
On August 18, 1951, she married Palmer RIMES at Our Savior's
Lutheran Church in Stanley. In 1967 she moved to the Beloit area
where she worked as a secretary for the Freeman Shoe Co. for over
20 years until her retirement. She also worked as a secretary for
United Way.
After retiring, she did volunteer work for Rock Co. Humane Society,
Beloit Memorial Hospital, Clinton Senior Center, Clinton Top of the
Morning Program and Clinton Elementary School.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl RIMES, of Greendale one
sister, Carolyn (Mrs. David ISENBERGER) of Stanley aunt, Selma
MCGINNIS, of Stanley niece and nephews, Jim and Julie SEIDL, Jim
and Lynn ISENBERGER plus cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother in
infancy.
Patricia had a great affection for her cats, Ole and Joe. Her
compassion, sense of humor, and loving, giving manner will be
dearly missed.
Services were held Wednesday, March 22, at Our Savior's Lutheran
Church, Pastor William Stewart officiating. Burial was held at East
Side Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Our Savior's
Lutheran Church or the Rock County Humane Society.
Plombon Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
