Jacob Rossman, age
52, was born in Neistein, Hessen Damstadt, Germany, June 29, 1834.
In the 1850's he emigrated to Sheboygan County, Wisconsin and
married Catherine Gessert on Christmas Day, 1856. They had 10
children. He owned the Rossman House Hotel and Saloon and also
served as Sheriff in Clark County, Wisconsin. He died of
consumption May 18, 1886 leaving his wife and 6 children to survive
him.
