CHARLOTTE L. RUSCH (1930 - 2000)
Charlotte Leona RUSCH, 69, of Owen died on March 31, 2000, at St.
Joseph's Hospital Critical Care Unit in Marshfield.
Charlotte was born on July 21, 1930, the daughter of Casper and
Mary (SAKACH) MILLER, in Stanley. She was raised by her
grandparents after the death of her mother. She grew up and
attended local schools and also attended Stanley High School.
Charlotte and Donald RUSCH were united in marriage on March 29,
1949, in Glendive, Montana. In 1950, the young couple moved to farm
in the Town of Reseburg, rural Thorp, and later farmed in the
Withee area until her husband's retirement in October of 1983.
The lived in Neillsville for a while where Charlotte was employed
at the Neillsville Nursing Home. Returning to Owen, Charlotte
worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Clark County Health
Care Center for many years and until her recent death. She resided
at the Maple Manor apartments in Owen and was a member of Emmanuel
Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.
Her husband, Donald RUSCH, passed away May 10, 1984. Parents and
infant sister, Rosemarie MILLER, are also deceased.
Charlotte loved the outdoors, working in her garden, reading
novels, and sharing time with friends at the casino. Charlotte was
a lady always on the go. She had a continual desire to give of
herself and to care for the needs of others. Charlotte dedicated
her life to her loving family and helping others.
Charlotte will be dearly missed by her children, Bernard RUSCH of
Withee, Donald (Vicky) RUSCH of Plover, William (Pam) RUSCH of
Owen, Judi (Dan) ERRTHUM of Mosinee, Bev (Steve) KELLEY of
Greenwood, Susan KRAUSE of Milwaukee, Barb (Gordy) FINKELSON of
Withee, and Lee (Mary Jo) of Chippewa Falls. Charlotte will be
greatly missed by her dear friend Alice BENDER and many other
friends.
Her grandchildren are as follows: Kraig, Jameson, and Laura RUSCH
Travis and Kurt ERRTHUM Jodi and Erik FINKELSON Christopher,
Joshua, and Sarah KELLEY Karen KRAUSE Diane BERBAUM and Carl
(Michelle) KRAUSE.
Her great grandchildren are as follows: Thomas "T.J.", Jonathan,
and Eric BERBAUM.
Memorial services for Charlotte were held on Monday, April 3, 2000,
at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Longwood
with Reverend Terri Blomberg officiating. Internment will be in the
Riverside Cemetery in Withee.
