CHARLES SCHLINSOG.
Charles Schlinsog, 72 year old resident of the town of Lynn, passed
away at Marshfield hospital at 7:15 Monday night, February 13,
1939, after a long illness. Funeral Services were held Thursday
afternoon at 1:30 from the home and at 2:00 o'clock from the Zion's
Lutheran Church, Granton, interment taking place in the church
cemetery, Rev. Arthur Laesch officiating. He had been ill since
November and confined to the hospital since January 11th.
Deceased was born in the town of Grant, January 4, 1867, to Mr. and
Mrs. Wm. Schlinsog, pioneers of Clark County. He spent all his life
on the farm. He was baptised and confirmed in the Lutheran faith
and was a member of that church since childhood.
September 14, 1898, he was married to Bertha Sanger of Fremont
township. He was a well known and highly respected resident of the
town of Lynn.
He is survived by his wife and 3 children: Mrs. Ruth Hosert, Chili
Anita, Mrs. Arthur Hillert, Grant and Vera, Mrs. Raymond Jones of
Waupaca, 8 grandchildren, 3 brothers: Henry, of Grant, Herman of
Lynn and Wm. of Greenwood, 5 sisters, Mrs. Emma McKand, Mrs. Anna
Gair of Chicago Mrs. R. Keller, Mrs. Paul Hessel of Abbotsford Mrs.
Adolph Bell of Chilli.
