I am not certain where these two obits were clipped from but would guess the "Clark County Press" and the "Marshfield News Herald".


GRANDMA SCHWARZE PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Herman Schwarze passed away at her home in Greenwood, Sunday morning, February 21, 1937, at 7:30 o'clock. The cause of her death was old age.


Mrs. Schwarze was born in Germany and came to the United States 65 years ago, living at Sheboygan for a short time before coming to Greenwood.


On November 11, 1873, she was united in marriage to Herman Schwarze in the town of Warner where they resided on a farm for many years before coming to this city.


She is survived by her husband four sons and three daughters. Adolph, Albert, Otto and George, Mrs. Fred Brick, Mrs. Fred Buker all of Greenwood and Mrs. Sidney Greene of Pueblo, Colorado. There are also 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, besides other relatives and a host of friends.


Deceased was a pioneer resident of this community and was a woman well liked by all who knew her. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, and was always ready to assist those in need.


Funeral services will be held from the local Reformed Church Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock and burial will take place in the West Side cemetery. Rev. E.G. Pfeiffer will officiate.

OBITUARY OF MRS. HERMAN SCHWARZE

Mrs. Christine Schwarze was born November 5, 1848 in Brandenburg, Germany, the daughter of Micheal Meier and Louisa Zunow. The Zunow family was of Huguenot descent and were forced to flee from France to Germany.


At the age of 23, she came to Franklin, Sheboygan County and on November 11, 1873 was united in marriage to Herman Schwarze. They were among the first pioneers to make their home at Decker Corners where Mr. Schwarze operated a blacksmith shop. In 1893, they moved to the farm now operated by their son, Otto, where they lived until 1920 when they came to this city.


Mr. and Mrs. Schwarze were charter members of Immanuel's Reformed church on the West Side, and Mrs. Schwarze retained membership in its Ladies Aid society until her death, although she became a member of the Zion Reformed church and Ladies Aid Society when they moved to Greenwood.


She is survived by her husband and seven children, Helen, Mrs. Fred Buker, Mathilda, Mrs. Fred Brick, George, Albert, Adolph and Otto, all of Greenwood and Augusta, Mrs. Sidney Greene, Pueblo, Colo., 167 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren also survive.


Two children, Frederick, who died in infancy and Dr. Herman Schwarze who died October 25, 1932 and three sisters preceded her in death.


Mrs. Schwarze passed away at her home Sunday morning, February 21, 1937 from old age complications and funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. fro the Zion Reformed church with Rev. E.G. Pfeiffer who conducted the German services and Rev. P. H. Franzmeier, of the the West Side church having the English service. She was laid to rest in the West Side cemetery.


The pallbearers were six grandsons Durward Schwarze, Ewald Schwarze, Harvey Schwarze, Orlin Schwarze, George Buker and Alvin Brick.
