JAMES DAHLKE


Funeral services were held at the Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19 for James D. Dahlke, 39 of Loyal, Clark County. Mr. Dahlke passed away Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1976 from a self inflicted gunshot wound. Rev. Chester Osowski, pastor of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal officiated, with burial taking place in the Lynn Cemetery. The Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


James Dahlke was born Oct. 17, 1937 at Pittsville. He attended the Mayflower School at Lynn and the Granton High School. A member of the Army National Guard Reserves, he ran his own garage at Lynn for three years. Later he was employed as a salesman for Zupanc motors and has owned and operated the Sportsman Bar n Loyal for the past 11 years, as well as being employed by Plautz Brothers.


On Oct. 21, 1961 he was united in marriage to Donna Babich at Chili.


He is survived by his wife, a son, James at home, two brothers, Robert of Neillsville and William of Granton. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dahlke, also survive.


Pallbearers were Norman Wolf, James Morrow, Clarence Henchen, George Plautz, Noel Felix and Ronald Domine.
