LUTHER SISCO

A Salem, Oregon paper recently contained the following which will interest Christie, Clark County readers: "Luther Sisco was born in the state of New York, April 18, 1822, and died in Salem, Ore., Dec. 7, 1905, aged 83 years. With his family he early move to Medina County, Ohio, thence to Fond du Lac county, Wisconsin, when 24 years of age, where he married to Almina Brown, with whom they lived happy for 58 years. Of this union eight children were born, one daughter, Mrs. Nina Morse, of Salem, and seven sons, four of whom live in Wisconsin, and three, Edgar, Bertram and Frank, live near Salem. Four years ago Mr. Sisco and family moved to Salem, and resided at 498 Mission street until his death. Grandpa Sisco was converted in 1877, and united with the Methodist church, and remained a constant member until the last.  His fatal illness was very brief.  He was buried in the City View cemetery"
