OBITUARY
 

Mrs. Caroline Soefker was born in Gehlenbeik Lippe-Detmold, Germany, Feb. 8, 1844. She was united in marriage to Mr. Friedrich Soefker, Oct. 30, 1869. In 1872 they came to America and at first lived in the town of Herman, Sheboygan County, Wis. On March 25, 1876, they moved to this vicinity, where the deceased has resided since. Mr. and Mrs. Soefker were blessed with ten children, four girls and six boys. Three boys passed away in death, one at the age of 19 years, one at the age of 21 years, and one at the age of 26 years. Her husband also departed in death at the age of 72 years, he dying in the year 1910.


Deceased leaves to mourn her loss four daughters, Mrs. Matt Roeber, Mrs. Henry Olson, Mrs. Adolph Meir and Mary Soefker and three sons. She also leaves twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild.


Deceased departed in death March 25, 1917, at the age of 72 years, 1 month and 17 days, the cause of her death being old age.


The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon, March 28th, 1917, and the body was taken to the West Side Cemetery for interment, Rev. Hall officiating.
