INA STAFFORD DIES
WEDNESDAY
Ina Elizabeth Stafford was born in the town of Eaton, Clark County, April 28, 1917 and passed away at Rice Lake Methodist Hospital May 21, 1930, the cause of death being a complication of kidney trouble and pneumonia.
Ina was a member of the Methodist Sunday School, in which she took
an active part. She was also in the 7th Grade at school and was a
likeable child of reserved and quiet disposition. She was always
thoughtful of others and a willing helper in the home.
She leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Stafford, three sisters,
Mrs. Marvin Churkey of Owen, Mrs. Russell Perry of Sheldon, little
Bethel, at home and three brothers, John, Earl and Lyle, all at
home, two grandparents, Mrs. Smith of Neillsville and Mrs. Hon
Stafford of Eau Claire, besides other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Grace Methodist Church Saturday
afternoon, May 24, Rev. Householder officiating.
The love and esteem for Ina was plainly shown by the beautiful
floral offerings and the number of people who attended the services
to pay their last respect to her.
Six young men from the High School acted as pallbearers and eight
girls from her Sunday School Class as Honorary pallbearers.
The choir selections were favorites of Ina's, the closing one
Asleep in the Arms of Jesus was very appropriate and we shall think
of Ina as:
Gone from earth, in heaven to dwell
Leaving those she loved so well,
Sad were we, the news to hear,
Death has claimed a daughter dear.
Tho we miss her, yet tis well
For she is gone where angels dwell.
Sleep on, Ina and take they rest
Thou art numbered with the blest.
