Helen Stalcar, 82, Thorp, formerly of Waukegan, IL, died on Saturday, October 16, 1999, 7:15 p.m. at Victory Medical Center, Stanley, WI.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 20, 1999 at the Marsh Funeral Home in Waukegan, IL at 11:00 a.m. visitation was on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Burial was in North Shore Garden of Memories, North Chicago, IL.

A private family visitation was held on Monday, October 18, 1999, at the Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, WI.

The former Helen Peura was born on December 11, 1916, in Marquette City, MI, the daughter of Richard and Tilda (Koski) Peura. On March 4, 1937, Helen and Joseph Stalcar were united in marriage at Woodstock, IL. They resided in Waukegan where Helen was employed with Fansteel Manufacturing Company. Helen had lived the past two years in Thorp.

Helen will be sadly missed by her sister Ruch (Claude) Wilson of Owen, WI three sisters-in-law: Esther Hill and Bernice Edwards, both of Waukegan, IL and Ann Miller of Milwaukee, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Stalcar November 1, 1995.
