NORMAN SUMMERFIELD
(1927 - 2000)
Norman A. SUMMERFIELD, 72, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2000, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire.
He was born March 31, 1927, in the Town of Bloomer to Otto and
Eunice (NORTON) SUMMERFIELD. He married Donna Jean KILMER on July
12, 1949, in Bloomer. He was a self-employed farmer and carpenter
and also worked at Northern Paper. He loved fishing and being
outdoors, especially at the cabin.
Norman is survived by his wife, Donna Jean, of Bloomer two sons,
Randy (Sue) of Bloomer and Ted (Jeanne) of Boyd one daughter,
Connie (Larry) BOWE of Chippewa Falls two sisters, Irene (Jerome)
SHIPMAN of Eau Claire and Annabelle (Douglas) BRONSTAD of Chetek 11
grandchildren, Janelle (Jim) DACHEL, Bradley and Dean BOWE, Rob,
Rich, Mike, and Jenny SUMMERFIELD, Chris, Matt, Nick, and Justin
SUMMERFIELD and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents one son, Wayne one sister,
Edith HART and one brother-in-law, Robert HART, Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, January 5, at St.
Jude's Catholic Church in New Auburn. Father Norman Boneck
officiated. Interment was in the North Catholic Cemetery.
The Olson Funeral Home of Bloomer was in charge of the
arrangements.
