ARTHUR NELSON SYTH
 

GREENWOOD--Arthur Nelson Syth, 79, a lifelong resident of Greenwood, Clark County, died at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 1975 at Sunny Vale Manor in Wausau. Mr. Syth had fractured his hip on Dec. 16, 1974, and was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, where he was a patient until entering the Wausau nursing home on Friday, Feb. 7.


Services have been set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Eugene S. Antrim, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Visitations may be made beginning Wednesday afternoon at the Hill Funeral Home and after 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.


Born Aug. 19, 1895, and educated in Greenwood, Mr. Syth engaged in farming 5 miles south of here until retiring in 1959 and moving to the city of Greenwood. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.


His marriage on April 16, 1919 at Wausau was to the former Amelia Toburen, who preceded him in death Nov. 27, 1956.


Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Alberta) Cunningham, Wausau and two granddaughters.


In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
