OBITUARY OF MRS. EMMA SYTH
 

Emma Caroline Teel, a daughter of Carl and Charlotte Teel, was born at Iron Ridge, Wis. on Jan. 26, 1864, and passed away on Friday morning, June 1st, 1928, at the age of 64 years, 4 months and 6 days.


She moved to the vicinity of Loyal, Clark County, Wis. with her parent when 4 years of age. On June 30th, 1882, she was married to Mr. James Syth, at Greenwood and she has had her residence in this vicinity since that time.


Mrs. Syth was preceded in death by he companion, who passed away 15 years ago.


Five children were born to this union, two sons and three daughters. Two daughters died in early childhood, Isabelle and Lulu, and the surviving children are James Charles Syth of Greenwood, Myrtle E. Anderson, Ames, Iowa and Arthur Nelson Syth of Greenwood, Wis. She is mourned also by two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Herman Bruswitz of Eagle Grove, Iowa, Mrs. Augusta Schmidt of Stevens Point, Wis., and Charles Teel of Loyal, Wis., three grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends.


A life of many good works and cares and singularly filled with helpfulness and solicitude for her family has come to a close. In the family circle her kindly interest in all about her will remain as a sacred memory through all the years.
For her the days work is ended and the long day done. When all the labors of life are over Comes the rest that remains to the people of God.


Funeral services were held from the local M.E. Church Monday afternoon, Rev. D.S. Householder officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
