OBITUARY OF MRS.
THOMAS
Harriet Angelia Andrews was born in Rawdon Township, Ontario, Canada, Aug. 21, 1859. She came to Greenwood, Clark County with her parents in 1871. In 1882 she was united in marriage to Dr. H.J. Thomas. They moved to Winston Salem, N.C. in 1891, where they resided until his death in 1904. Two years later she returned to Greenwood, where she has since resided with the exception of two years while she lived in Chicago.
She died on Tuesday, June 22, 1926, having reached the age of 66
years, 10 months and 1 day.
She is survived by her brother, J. S. Andrews of this city and
three sisters and one niece, who are Mrs. Flora Hall of Chicago,
Mrs. Effie B. Cadman of Fairchild, Miss L. E. Andrews of Chicago
and Mrs. L. D. Teter of Knoxville, Iowa. The sisters from Chicago
and Fairchild were all here for the funeral.
Funeral services were held from the J. S. Andrews home Thursday
afternoon, Rev. A. B. Dyre officiating. The body was laid to rest
in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomas was a kind and loving wife and sister, and a friend to
all who knew her. Her departure will be a great loss to her
relatives and friends.
