HARVEY THOMPSON
(1913 - 2000)
Harvey C. THOMPSON, 86, of Clintonville, passed away Monday morning, January 17, 2000, at the Greentree Health Care Center.
Harvey was born April 9, 1913, in Eau Claire, the son of the late
Clarence and Ethel (FLORA) THOMPSON. He lived his early life in the
Stanley area and graduated from Stanley High School in 1932.
He was united in marriage to Dorothy DAVISON in Stanley on April
22, 1941. He served in Okinawa with the US Army during World War II
and, after his military service, returned to Wisconsin.
The married couple moved to Kenosha, where Harvey was employed for
many years with the American Motors Company. They moved to
Clintonville in 1962 and lived there ever since.
Harvey was a member of the Clintonville VFW Post 664. He enjoyed
pitching horseshoes. He was also the Wisconsin Shuffleboard
Champion in 1951.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy six daughters, Frances (Fred)
KAUZRICH of McNaughton, Barbara ALLEMAN of Kenosha, Sandra (Tim)
VANSTRATEN of Combined Locks, Marsha (Rick) KRAUSE of Neenah,
Rhonda (Bill Cornelius) HAVELICK of Las Vegas, and Kelly THOMPSON
of Trapper Creek, AK seven sons, Curtis (Marcella) of Clintonville,
Terry (Kathy) of Appleton, Larry of Clintonville, Jerry (Delores)
of Shawano, Barry of Clintonville, Harry of Leopolis, and Darry of
Kenosha 17 grandchildren 18 great grandchildren and one great great
grandchild.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 19, at the
Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home in Clintonville. Rev. William
Hager officiated. Military Funeral Honors were provided by members
of the Clintonville VFW Post 664. Spring interment will be at the
Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville.
The Eberhard-Stevenson Funeral Home of Clintonville was in charge
of the arrangements.
