Adeline Walbeck
(1911 - 2000)
Adeline Marie Walbeck, 88, Rib Lake, died Tuesday, March 7, at her home while under hospice care.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 11 at St. John's
Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rib Lake, with Rev. John Meyer
officiating. Interment took place at Lakeview Cemetery in Rib Lake.
Pallbearers were David Kamke, Ron Krajnik, Kurt Walbeck, Kent
Walbeck, Peter Schon, and Chris Shore. Brian Williams was honorary
pallbearer.
Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Home of Rib Lake and Medford assisted the
family with arrangements.
The former Adeline Kaske was born on June 5, 1911 at Rib Lake to
the late Paul and Meta (Freiboth) Kaske. She attended Greenwood
Grade School, Clark county, WI and Rib Lake High School.
Her marriage to Adolph Walbeck, who preceded her in death, took
place on March 31, 1928 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. She was
a store clerk for 17 years at Rib Lake Lumber Co., Olsen Hardware,
and Zielke's Store.
She was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church and choir, and
past president of the Ladies Aid Society past president of the Rib
Lake Senior Citizens a member of the Taylor County Historical
Society and a volunteer for 28 years at Rib Lake Health Care Center
helping with Bingo. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, playing cards,
walking in the woods, and dancing and singing.
Survivors include one son, Marlin (Donna), Rib Lake one daughter,
Marge Zielke, Medford six grandchildren 11 great-grandchildren and
nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death
by two brothers, Rudolph and Frank two sisters, Rose Shelley and
Hilda in infancy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. John's Ev.
Lutheran Church or Hope Hospice.
