OBITUARY OF ROBERT
WASECA
Robert Waseca, on of the older resident of this vicinity, died at his home west of Greenwood, Clark County, Friday, June 26, 1925, after a lingering illness, the cause of his death being cancer of the face.
Robert Waseca was born in Golswitz, Germany in 1854. He came to
America in 1885 and resided at Arcadia, Wis., five years. He then
came to Clark County and has resided in the neighborhood of
Greenwood for the past 33 years. He was united in marriage to Miss
Rose Kampa on April 15, 1894, who together with three daughters
survive. The daughters are Mrs. J. J. Susa, Mrs. Paul Susa and Miss
Sophie Waseca, all residing in this vicinity.
Deceased was taken ill over a year ago with cancer of the face and
although everything possible was done to prolong his life, the
cancer kept on. He underwent three operations and spent nearly a
year at the Chippewa Hospital but to no avail. Three weeks ago he
returned to his home, where he died last Friday.
Robert Waseca was a kind and loving husband and father and made
friends with those he came in contact with, so he will be greatly
missed, not only in the home circle, but by his relatives and
friends as well.
Funeral services were held from St. Mary's Catholic Church Monday
forenoon at 10:00 o'clock, Rev. S. P. Frye officiating. The body
was laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery.
