MRS. ADELBERT WELLS, 75
GREENWOOD Funeral services will be conducted
at 2 p.m. Friday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenwood for
Mrs. Adelbert Wells, 75, of Greenwood, Clark County, who died at 3
p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 1973 at her home, following an apparent heart
attack.
The Rev. Arthur F. Hellert, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran Church,
will officiate and burial will take place in the Greenwood
Cemetery.
Visitations may be made at the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood
Thursday afternoon and until 11 a.m., Friday, when the body will be
taken to the church.
The former Elsie A. Dux was born Aug. 7, 1897 at Neillsville, and
received her education at St. John's Lutheran School at Neillsville
and was a graduate of Neillsville High School. Following her
marriage to Adelbert Wells Sept. 20, 1917, at Neillsville, they
farmed in an area three miles northeast of Greenwood. In 1962 they
retired from farming and moved into the city of Greenwood. Mr.
Wells preceded his wife in death Jan. 27, 1964.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid
and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, Donald, Greenwood and Burton R.
Marshfield and two daughters, Mrs. Norbert (Adella) Friske,
Greenwood and Mrs. Norman (Marguarite) Friske, Whitehall eight
grandchildren six great-grandchildren two brothers, William C. Dux
and Alfred Dux, both of Neillsville, and a sister, Mrs. Martha
Brown (the rest was cut off)
