John S. Wynimko, 81, of Mesa, Arizona and former resident of Thorp, died on Thursday, February 18, 1999.


He was born April 29, 1917 in Milwaukee to William and Stella (Rutka) Wynimko. John was a retired construction worker and a World War II Army Veteran. He retired in Chicago and with his wife moved to Mesa twenty years ago.


He is survived by his wife Helen (Niemiec) of Mesa and one sister Vicki (Ray) McNamara of Stanley and many nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents brother Edward (Wanda) sister Sophie (Ray) Kissel and nephew Edward Smoczyk.


Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Church in Mesa and burial was at Mountain View Cemetery.
