MARTIN YANIGA.
Loyal--(Special)-Martin Yaniga, 68, who served as justice of the peace at Loyal, died at 8 p.m. Wednesday at his home. He had undergone an operation at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, in May.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Anthony's
Catholic Church with the Rev. Norbert King officiating. Burial will
be made in the West Side cemetery at Greenwood, Warner township,
Clark County, Wisconsin.
The body will repose at the Myre Funeral Home from Friday morning
to the time of services. A rosary service is scheduled at the
funeral home at 8 p.m. Friday.
Mr. Yaniga was born Aug. 6, 1883, in Czechoslovakia. His first
marriage was to Marie Steffen in 1902, in Germany. They came to the
United States, settling in Pennsylvania, in 1908. Five years later
they moved to Milwaukee, and a year later came to Greenwood,
operating a farm three miles southwest of the village.
In 1944 they moved to Loyal, where, a year later, Mrs. Yaniga died.
His second marriage was to Mrs. Antonio Suda, April 27, 1946, in
Loyal.
Mr. Yaniga is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Henry (Paula)
Vollrath, Greenwood, six stepchildren, three grandchildren and a
sister in Europe.
