MIKE BRISKI, SR.
Funeral services were conducted at St. Mary's Catholic Church,
Greenwood, on Saturday, March 12, at 11 a.m. for Mike Briski, Sr.
89, of Greenwood, Clark County, who passed away at 6:15 p.m.,
Wednesday, March 9, 1977, at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville.
Rev. Robert Houston officiated and burial was made in the parish
cemetery.
Mike Briski, Sr., was born in Yugoslavia on Feb. 25, 1888, and
received his education at Yugoslavia schools. He came to the United
States at the age of 21 and lived in New Mexico for about five
years.
He was married to Mary Zagar at Gallup, N.M. on June 21, 1911. They
farmed at rural Greenwood in the Town of Mead until retiring in
1960. They then moved to the City of Greenwood and celebrated their
golden wedding anniversary in 1961. He resided at Memorial Home,
Neillsville, for the past ten years.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the SNPJ
Lodge.
He is survived by two sons, Frank of Thorp and Mike, Jr. of
Greenwood four daughters, Mrs. William (Mary) Agiewich of Cicero,
Ill, Mrs. Frank (Anna) Vivoda of Cicero, Ill., Mrs. Joseph (Zora)
Muvrin of Hillside, Ill. and Miss Helen Briski of Cicero, Ill. one
sister, Antonia of Canada eight grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 1967 three brothers
and two sisters.
Serving as pallbearers were his grandchildren, Jerome, James,
Larry, Duane, and Susan Briski, and Sharon Agiewich and Shirley
Wilson.
Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, was in charge of
arrangements.
