OBITUARY OF LOUIS DIMLER
Louis Dimler was born at Keil, Sheboygan
County, Wis., July 15, 1869, son of John and Anna Dimler.
He was united in marriage to Miss Mattie Sanford at Neillsville on
Oct. 21, 1898 and settled in the Town of Warner, Clark County for a
time, later moving to their present farm home in the Town of Eaton.
Two children were born to this union, Orville, who lives in the
Town of Eaton and Elsie, who passed away Dec. 2, 1918.
Mr. Dimler passed away at his home Thursday, Jan. 26, 1939 at about
1:00 p.m. His death was sudden. He was feeling well when he got up
in the morning, made the fires and did his chores at the barn.
Later he wanted to come into Greenwood and had some trouble trying
to start his car. He went into the house where he sat down on the
couch. After awhile he complained of felling queer. This was
followed by distress and pain, at time he felt better, but death
came about 1:00 p.m. His wife, his son and his brother were with
him.
Mr. Dimler leaves to mourn, his wife, his son Orville and wife and
their two children Rudolph and Arbutus, a brother, Gus, one sister,
Mrs. Mary Jepson of Nebraska, nephews and nieces and a host of
friends.
He was a member of the Badger Benevolent Society.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the home at 1:15. At
this service the Janesville Ladies Aid san What a Friend We Have in
Jesus and Mrs. Gaylord sang After the Shadow . Services at the
Greenwood Methodist Church were at 2:00 p.m., Rev. C.R. Gaylord
officiated. Mrs. Geo. Haeuser and Mrs. Harold Stabnow, accompanied
by Miss Mabel Bishop on the piano sang Face To Face and God Will
Take Care of You . The body was laid to rest in the Greenwood
Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Fred Clintsman, Fred Barr, Fred Drew, Charles
Moore, Soren Korntved, Max Wright.
Those in charge of the flowers were Mrs. Francis Clintsman, Mrs.
Glen Drew, Mrs. Roger Dillenbeck, Mrs. Charles Moore.
