Marshall, Viola Mary (29 January 1928 – 11 February 2021)
Viola Marshall, age 93, of Neillsville, WI died Thursday, February 11, 2021 at
the House of the Dove Hospice Home in Marshfield, with her loving family by her
side.
Viola Mary Marshall was born on January 29, 1928 in Loyal, the daughter of Edwin
and Margaret (Weber) Gall. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Marshall on
February 14, 1947 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. She worked as a
clerk at Prock’s Grocery Store and later for Bob and Caryl’s IGA in Neillsville.
She retired in 1990, and then volunteered at the Hospital Auxiliary.
Vi was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Parish Council of Catholic
Women in Neillsville.
She is survived by three children, Larry (Kathy) Marshall, Judy (Russell) Ratsch
and Mike (Janet Meredith) Marshall all of Neillsville, 6 grandchildren, 12
great-grandchildren, seven siblings, Marie Vetrano of Milwaukee, Arthur
(Dorothy) Gall of Milwaukee, Louise Bauer of Loyal, Theresa Bennett of
Neillsville, Jim (Mary Ann) Gall of Neillsville, Jean Wirkuty of Loyal, and Tom
(Kathy) Gall of Waukesha, and a brother-in-law, Alvin Wirkuty.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy, her parents, two
daughters-in-law, Janet Marshall and Lana Marshall, two sisters, Alice Wirkuty
and Dorothy Gall, a brother, Elmer Gall and a brother-in-law, Harvey Bauer.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church
at a later date. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
