TED HALPIN
Ted Halpin, 75, of Baumont Nursing Home, Prairie du Chien, passed
away at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 17, 1977, at Prairie du Chien.
Funeral services for Ted Halpin were conducted at St. Anthony's
Catholic Church, Loyal, at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 21. Rev.
William O'Neill, a professor at St. Thomas College in St. Paul
officiated, and burial was made in the parish cemetery.
Ted Halpin was born at Alma Center on Dec. 3, 1901. He was married
on Nov. 23, 1926, in Alma Center to Regina Benda, who passed away
on Dec. 7, 1962.
He is a former Loyal, Clark County resident who farmed in the Town
of Unity until retiring in 1960. In 1967 he moved to Prairie du
Chien.
He is survived by two sons, Dennis of Loyal and William of Prairie
du Chien one sister, Mrs. Irene Poulsen of Los Angeles, Calif. and
18 grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Joe Esselman, David Smith, Alfred
Rondorf, Robert Kutchera, Robert Hoffman, and Ray Laufenberg. Rinka
Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Regina, and one son,
Donald.
