OBITUARY PAUL STEFFEN
The news of the death of Paul Steffen came as a surprise to his
numerous friends Thursday, when he was suddenly called from this
earth.
Mr. Steffen was a resident of Milwaukee most of his life, having
been on the police force there twelve years. A year ago he came to
Greenwood, Clark County with his family and settled on a farm a
mile east and a mile north of Warner's Corners.
Here he started into the forest to cut out a home and farm. His poor health had been a great hindrance in his work, but steady and persistent methods had proved himself capable of the task.
His early demise is due to a stroke of paralysis about two years
ago, which left him with a weak heart.
His remains were taken to Owen Saturday night by G. W. Bishop and
the body sent to Milwaukee for burial.
He leaves a wife and two children, one brother and a father to
mourn his departure.
