RAYMOND SCHERER


Raymond Scherer, 67, a former Loyal, Clark County resident, now residing at the Neillsville Home for the past two years, passed away at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, at 12:55 a.m., Friday, March 25, 1977.


Funeral services for Raymond Scherer were held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, at 11 a.m., Monday, March 28. Rev. Chester Osowski officiated and burial was made in St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwood.


A P.C.C.W. Rosary was held at 3 p.m. and a prayer service at 8 p.m. Sunday evening.


Raymond Scherer was born to George, Sr. and Anna Ducey Scherer at Jonesdale, Wis. on Feb. 7, 1910. He received his education at the Eaton Center School.


He came to the Eaton Center Area in 1914 with his parents and farmed with them until 1955. He then lived with his sister, Mrs. Cecila Bremer. In 1971 he moved to the home for the aged in Greenwood. He was never married.


He was a member of St. Anthony's Church, Loyal.


Surviving him are two sisters, Mrs. Cecila Bremer of Loyal and Mrs. Leonard (Mary) Denk of Loyal.


Pallbearers were Duane Stutte, Robert Bertz, Ray LaBarge, Jerry Denk, Pete Lindner and Dave McKenna. Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of arrangements.


He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
