OBITUARY
Died, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Leach in Greenwood,
Clark County, Wis., Feb 6th, 1914, Mrs. Laura Wallace, age 85
years, 3 months and 28 days. She was born in Aushabula County,
Ohio, Oct. 8th, 1828, moving with her parents in the early days of
1847 to Lodi, Wis., where she resided with her parent till the time
of her marriage to Christian Hannay, Sept. 15, 1858, leaving there
to make their home in Waupun. Two children were born to this union,
Arthur Hannay and Mrs. Thomas Leach, both of this city. Moving from
there to Augusta in 1867, they resided there till the time of his
death in 1882, at the age of 75 years. On the 13th day of March
1884 she married John Redfield and moved to Eleva, Trempleau
County, Wis., where they resided till 1902, when Mrs. Redfield came
to Greenwood, marrying P. Wallace, Sept. 14, 1904, where they
resided till the time of her death. She leaves a husband, three
sisters, one brother, two children and many friends to mourn her
loss. Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter Sunday
afternoon at three o'clock by Rev. Willmarth. The remains were
taken to Augusta Feb. 9, 1914 for burial.
